Physical
Uses: Although better known as a kitchen herb, Thyme has other
uses.
Try Thyme tea the next
time you have a headache, indigestion, or a cold. Used as an expectorant,
it can help to relieve the stress of spasmodic coughing.
The tea is believed to
induce sweating, relieve bronchitis and to encourage menstruation.
It has been used for
centuries as a general tonic and preventive as well as to treat
epilepsy and depression.
Oil of Thyme has also
been used to treat toothaches and may be effective when used to
treat Athlete's Foot and other fungal infections. |
